When Justice got back from his trip to Washington DC and I looked at his pictures, I noticed a really neat group shot of his group in front of the White House. It was a picture of a professional photo, one that he took on his phone, blurry and sideways. I couldn't make out a face in the entire shot. So I asked him…
Me: "HEY, why didn't you get one of these pictures?"
Justice: "I don't know when they asked for orders. I don't remember anybody even mentioning it."
Me: "Well that really stinks, I would have liked for you have a picture like this."
Justice: "Me too. Don't feel bad, only a few kids got them, the rest of us didn't know."
That didn't make me feel any better. I was REALLY impressed with the company that puts these conferences on. They had an outstanding website, and they were very organized. They had a foolproof online checklist complete with document uploading capabilities, a designated travel agent, and it was very well thought out. Surely I didn't miss the picture ordering somewhere in the registration process, did I? I went back through everything I had, and nope. No mention of a picture. Huh.
A few days after the conference was over, I received a link to a survey about Justice's trip. I completed the survey, and at the bottom in the "miscellaneous comments" section, I mentioned that I was extremely disappointed that Justice wasn't able to order a group photo. I asked that they make that information clearer, and as an option in the registration process rather than relying on the students to peel 20 bucks out of their spending money to do it.
Within 48 hours, I got a phone call from the official photographer of the company, to verify my shipping address. They received my feedback and were "more than happy" to send me a group photo! Yay! I was really happy, and that in itself testifies to the professionalism of this organization.
Anyway, here it is. What a cute group of nerdy little kids. They are all dressed so nicely. What an awesome experience.
Justice is in the front row, and is smack dab in the middle. Gray slacks, white shirt. You can't miss him. :)
