Report cards

Report card day came and went in the Mack house and I forgot to post because both Justice and Jack were home with the for-real-deal flu.  Well, Justice had the for-real-deal flu.  Jack was just really sick but never made it to full blown diagnosed flu status.  Poor Justice was sick as a dog for almost a week.  He is still a little puny, but much better.

I didn't copy Jack's report card because there are a hundred little subcategories that put the font at about a 6, and barely readable.  He did a great job, he is meeting or exceeding all requirements and his behavior was once again outstanding.

His reading has really taken off.  He read an entire easy-reader book to me yesterday.  It was easy, but I'm still impressed.  Here is his latest reading score… the way the teacher explained it to me is that the number should reflect his age and month to meet the standard.  For example, when he was tested in September his score was 643, and since he was 6 yrs and 4 months old, he was right on track.  He had a huge score increase with his latest testing, and I can tell by how much better he is able to identify easy words, etc.

In the latest episode of "I love Miss Cindy", she sent me this text yesterday to let me know Jack got a "star" on his computer testing.  I had no idea what that meant so I asked Jack when he got home from school.  He had no idea either, but since Miss Cindy texted me the picture in the middle of the school day I'm just going to say "great job, Jack!" cause it must be important.  Ha.

Justice did well, too.  He was not happy with the 95 he got in Social Studies, but that's what happens when you get an 89 on the final.  Social Studies is going to be the bane of his existence, I don't know why he struggles in it.  His GPA isn't as high as it was last year, and that is killing him too.  For the record, I put no pressure on him.  He does it all to himself.

Great job, kiddos.  Mom is happy for you.  Keep up the good work.

  1. Remind me to talk to you about hot dog folding his history notes. It might help him with clustering the information to remember it better.
