I used to love getting the class yearbook when I was in school. Everybody would pass them around and write all sorts of lame poems, heartfelt paragraphs, and sometimes even profess a crush. I remember when a boy I had liked forever wrote his phone number in my yearbook. I nearly fainted. Ha. Such innocent times.
Justice brought his yearbook home and all the pages in the "autograph" section were blank. Huh? "What the heck?" I asked him.
"Yeah, I really don't have time for that crap Mom. I don't want any girls writing in my book."
He said "girls" like I would say "diarrhea".
Sheesh. What a fun-sucker he is. I straightened out my sad face and ho-hummed my way through the pages looking for his picture.
I already knew he had a little head, I mean I don't call him pin-head for nothin'. But man, he really does have a tiny head.
He's the little feller singing in the mic on the left.
Funny thing about choir. The year started out with all these kids below in the choir. Crappy grades and bad behavior took it's toll on the numbers and there is about half of what you see in the picture.
His head looks a little more normal in the soccer picture. I accredit that to his big hair. He went through a big hair phase this year that has thankfully come to a merciful end.
Bottom left, black shirt.
The football picture. Let us remember they were regional champs this year.
Top row, far right. Nothing but a tiny blur.
Third place talent show winner. Yay for Justice. He's pretty cute, even in a sweater vest.
Hey look! It's Bo! Bo got a cameo in the yearbook. And also the side of my head got a cameo.
Justice was "Teacher's Choice" for the sixth grade.
"Teacher's Choice". Hahaha! What is that? Teacher's Pet with a more politically correct name?
Whatever. I'll take it.
Middle row, far right.
Awwwwww! Look at my cute little Bubbie! There are 213 kids in his class.
I put his yearbook away up high away from the mad scribbler (Bo) so he will be able to look back on these pictures with hopefully fond memories.
Maybe one day he will regret the blank autograph pages.
Eh. Probably not.
