Jacoby Bowen Mack made his entrance into this world at 5:17 PM on 25 April, two weeks ahead of schedule. He weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces and was 20.5 inches long.
And thankfully, he is healthy as can be.
Those are some seriously skinny legs! Justice was built this way when he was a baby, too. Only he was 8 lbs, 1 oz and two inches longer!
Joe and I joked a little during labor about what he would look like. I was teasing him about maybe finally having a "black baby", since both of our other boys are so light skinned and freckle faced. We decided that it was probably going to be another fair skinned kid, but look!
A little dark-skinned baby with jet black hair! We didn't see that coming. OK, dark-skinned might be a stretch, but he is going to be much much darker than both Justice and Jack.
We weren't sure how Jack was going to handle the new baby. He fell deeply in love with him the second he laid eyes on him. And he hasn't taken his eyes off of him since. He kisses him a hundred times a day, and holds him for hours. He told me "Mom, I love him so much". And I am very thankful. That could have gone either way.
And of course his Bubbie loves him to pieces. All it took was one look at him and Justice started to cry.
Happy Birthday sweet baby boy. We prayed for you for a very, very long time and we are so happy that you are finally here.
