Jack likes to dress himself. He never does a bang-up job of it. He over-coordinates big time. If he wears blue jeans, he will pick a blue shirt, blue socks, blue underwear and blue sneakers. And a blue hat if he can find one. The hat is a recent tactic to avoid combing his 'fro. He doesn't like to have his hair combed, but he also doesn't like to have short hair. He likes his hair to be, in his own words...
"BIG"
Today he put on green corduroy pants and a red Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Shirt that had seen better days. Talk about an explosion of color. He topped the entire ensemble off with a green leprechaun hat.
"OK Mom, I'm ready to go now, as soon as I put on my RED SHOES."
Red Converse. Of course.
It was hilarious and frightening all at the same time. He rationalized that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were indeed the exact same shade of green as his pants. He was right, so how do you argue with that? I told him he needed to go change. He ventured off to his room and came back and asked me...
"OK, is this better?"
Well... Yes, that is better Jack. Thanks for changing your hat. Now please go put on your red shoes so we can leave.
Love this boy.

He cracks me up!
