In the post about the National Anthem, I mentioned how humble Justice is. Sometimes, he's humble to a fault. It makes him feel uncomfortable to be recognized for doing good things. Sometimes good things happen to him and he doesn't mention them. For weeks.
Me: "How was school last week?
Justice: "Great."
Me: "Anything happen this week? Tests, choir, anything?"
Justice: "No"
Me: "Ok, well I'm glad things are going well for you."
After TEN MINUTES of complete silence:
Justice: "Oh, well, I did get student of the month."
Me: "OH WOW! Yay! That's wonderful, I'm so happy for you!!!"
Me: "When did you find that out, today?"
Justice: "No, like two or maybe three weeks ago I think."
OK, WHAT? REALLY?
Ugh, yes really. Dragging accolades and stuff like that out of him is always like pulling teeth. It drives me nuts. He is always quick to tell me when he goofs something up though, so I suppose I ought not complain too much.
I posted it on Facebook anyway, I know it was old news in general, but it was new news to me!
Congratulations Justice, I am so happy for you!
